Amelia's Pet: A Sweet and Fun Bilingual Family Story in English + Haitian Creole

After searching for months for children's books in Haitian Creole that depicted the experiences of Haitian-American children, I was surprised that while there were a lot of books in Haitian Creole about my original homeland, Haiti, there were not many about the experiences of Haitian children living in America. This was the inspiration for this book, which narrates the normal experience of a Haitian American family choosing a family pet. It's fun and sweet and written in both English and Haitian Creole. As a bonus, the series also offers a coloring book to accompany the story.
